How I learned the trade
I learned masonry under an old-school boss who'd make you tear out a whole course if one joint wasn't right. After years on his crews, I started this business in McAllen in 2023, and I still work the way he taught me. We're best known for careful brick and mortar repair, the kind where you can't tell where the old work ends and ours begins. Homeowners call us when their mortar is crumbling, a chimney is leaking or they want a wall, walk or patio built to last.
Here in Hidalgo County, a hard rain can pond in a yard faster than the storm drains carry it off, and standing water is what wears brick and mortar out, so I think about where the water goes before we lay a single brick. What matters most to me is doing it right even where nobody would ever see the shortcut. I'd rather pass on a job than leave a wall I'm not proud of. You can see the rest of what we do on our home page.
What working with us is like
You talk with the mason who does the work
I come out to look at your wall myself and tell you in plain words what's wrong and why before you decide anything, and my crew and I are the ones who do the job. Your estimate spells out the work, so you can set it next to other bids and compare them fairly.
We leave good brick alone
We fix what's actually worn and leave sound brick and mortar where they are, so you're not paying to redo work that's still doing its job. If all your wall needs is a few joints repointed, I'll tell you that.
Repairs that blend in and go easy on the brick
We choose new mortar to match your old wall in color, so the repair doesn't stand out from the street. We also pick it to be gentle on the brick, because mortar that's too hard for the brick around it can make that brick crack or flake over time.
We handle the permit paperwork
When a job needs a permit, we take care of the paperwork with the city it's in and set up the inspections, so you're not left sorting it out yourself. We're licensed and fully insured, and every job is backed by our satisfaction guarantee.
